“Do something, get moving, be confident, risk new things, stick with it, then be ready for big surprises.” These words, spoken by the foundress of the Ursuline Sisters St. Angela Merici hundreds of years ago, still ring true today.

For 146 years, Ursuline students have accomplished their goals with these words in mind. Your learning experience will be custom-tailored to you, with a student-to-faculty ratio that’s just 6 to 1. Then you’ll put that learning into practice by rolling up your sleeves in a vibrant city and digging into internships, clinicals, practicums, service learning, networking, and/or research. And you won’t be alone – Ursuline students completed over 5,600 hours of these activities last year. Given all of this individualized attention and exposure, be ready for lifelong friendships, a higher than average job placement rate and starting salary, and the likelihood to rise further and faster in your career, just to name a few.

AN ARROW’S PERSPECTIVE

Emily Adkinson, '17

Now an ICU nurse at University Hospitals, Emily played volleyball, presented research at a national conference, performed, and more. Yet community is what made her time at Ursuline so special.

Annette Blackwell, '18

“If you’re trying to find the best in you, there’s no better place to do that than Ursuline.” Annette Blackwell, the first female mayor of Maple Heights, reflects on how her experience as a UCAP student helped shape the woman she is today.

Dan Sebring, '05

A graduate of Ursuline’s Educational Administration program and, more recently, the post-master’s principle licensure and superintendent licensure programs, Dan praises the common theme in all of Ursuline’s programs, which he sees as a “relationships-first approach to leadership.”
