About UCAP

About UCAP

At Ursuline, your success is our success. That’s why we’re focused on helping you earn your degree in a format that works with your busy schedule.

The Ursuline College Accelerated Program (UCAP) was created in 1998 to help working adults return to the classroom to finish their bachelor’s degree.  This flexible approach allows students to take a minimum of one class every five weeks, completing a minimum of 27 credit hours per year.

The program offers accelerated courses in a classroom, hybrid, or online format.  This flexibility allows YOU to pick the format that works best for you.  UCAP also understands that life may get in the way and a student may need to sit out for a term or two.  With UCAP’s flexibility, our students are able to balance the demands of work, life, and school.

From the moment you step on campus, you will appreciate the tranquil and serene grounds surrounding Lake Elissa and find the faculty & staff to be supporting, welcoming, and committed to your academic success. This student-centered approach is a reflection of the mission of Saint Angela Merici, the foundress of the Ursuline sisters, which was brought to Cleveland in 1871 when Ursuline was founded as the first women’s college in Ohio.  While Ursuline College remains a women’s focused institution, we do welcome males interested in receiving an Ursuline education.  Today, the College averaged about 95% female and 5% male.
