Senior Super Visit

Sign up online

Offered Monday through Fridays, select the date that works best for you in this personalized, one-on-one shadow experience. Spend the day or even the night with student hosts. You can select meetings with professors, coaches, Financial Aid counselors, observe a class, take a tour, and more.

File your FAFSA

Ensure you are considered for all the aid you are eligible to receive by completing your Federal Application for Free Student Aid (FAFSA). If you are new to the financial aid process, you may want to reference our glossary of terms.

Where to Find the FAFSA

The FAFSA is available online. You can complete, submit, and track your application online. October 1st is the first day you can submit your FAFSA for the fall 2018 term. We recommend you file and add Ursuline to your FAFSA no later than February 1, 2018.

Before You Apply

If possible, before you apply, both you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) should file your income tax returns. If you complete your FAFSA before the tax returns are ready, use last year’s tax forms to complete your FAFSA. You can return to the FAFSA once this year’s taxes are filed and update it.

Create a FAFSA ID and password
. Both you and a parent/guardian need to create your own IDs and passwords with your own individual email accounts.
Collect documents. See the list of documents you need to get started.

Tips

What Happens After You Apply

  1. You will receive the Student Aid Report (SAR) from the US Department of Education. Be sure to review this document for errors and follow directions to correct them.
  2. Wait for your Ursuline College Award letter to arrive in the mail. Once it arrives be sure to review it and contact your Admission Counselor with any questions.
  3. After you review your award letter, sign the letter to accept the award and return it to Ursuline College
  4. You may be selected for verification if any data elements reported on your FAFSA are flagged by a federal processor or Ursuline Financial Aid team member as potentially inconsistent or inaccurate. If selected, verification forms and instructions will be included in your financial aid award package, and our team will work with you to ensure you understand what do next. Please know that if an error in data entry is identified during your verification process, your financial aid package could change.

Reply to our offer of admission

You’ll complete two of the most critical steps in the enrollment process when you reply to our offer of admission and submit your deposit. These two steps, together, let us know your plans and hold your place in the class.

Log-in to your student portal to complete the “Reply to our offer of admission” form and submit your deposit as soon as you make your college decision, but no later than May 1. Deposit amounts are $100 for commuters and $200 for resident students.

Submit your deposit online with a credit card or mail a check/money order in the postage-paid enveloped enclosed in your admission packet. Deposits are credited to your first Ursuline bill.

Review and accept your financial aid award

Instructions and aid acceptance forms will be included with your Financial Aid Award. Complete these forms to identify what parts of your award letter you are accepting or declining (you do not have to accept all the aid that is offered to you) and return these forms to:

Student Service Center
Ursuline College
2550 Lander Rd
Pepper Pike, OH 44124

Accept or decline your financial aid as soon as you’ve made your college decision, but no later than May 1, 2018. Please let us know your plans either way. Since we are holding resources aside for you, if you tell us you’ll be attending another college, we’ll be able to redirect your funds to help other students.

Make plans for financing

Payment Plan
The Ursuline College Business Office provides a service that lets you pay all or part of your education expenses spread out over five monthly payments per semester. There is no interest charge, but there is a $25 enrollment fee. The payment plan can be used in conjunction with other sources of financial aid. Payment Plan Enrollment forms can be obtained in the Student Service Center or can be found here:

Fall Payment Plan
Spring Payment Plan

Another common option for covering your out-of-pocket expenses to attend Ursuline is to apply for a Parent Plus Loan. If this is an option that interests you, learn more about loans or contact your Financial Aid Counselor.

Secure your housing

Housing is available to first-year students in Murphy and Grace halls. If you indicated your intention to live on campus on your application for admission, your financial aid package will include considerations for housing costs. Resident students must pay a $200 deposit ($100 toward tuition and $100 toward housing costs) and after submitting your deposit, you will be mailed a housing contract and roommate questionnaire.

If you did not indicate an interest in campus housing but have changed your mind, please contact your Admission Counselor.

For guaranteed housing, reply to our offer of admission and submit your deposit by May 1. After May 1, your request for housing will be accommodated on a space-available basis.

Any further questions about living on campus can be directed to your Admission Counselor or to Gina DeMart-Kraus, Director of Residence Life, gdemart@ursuline.edu or 440 646 8334.

Take placement tests (if applicable)

If you were informed in your admission letter that you need to take placement testing, please contact Jill Carroll in the URSA Office at 440 449 2049 to make an appointment. You must complete placement testing before you can attend orientation.

If you do not remember if you were required to take placement tests, you can visit your Student Portal to view your admission letter electronically.

Schedule your Academic Orientation

Academic Orientation programs are full-day experiences where you’ll make your transition from prospective student to enrolled student! You’ll leave campus that day with your Ursuline student ID card, fall semester course schedule, a lot of knowledge and many new friends. You’ll select and sign up for one of three Academic Orientation events offered in May, June, and August 2018. Watch your mailbox and inbox for announcements of Academic Orientation dates and how to sign up for your program.

Send your final high school transcripts and college transcripts (if applicable)

If you choose to enroll at Ursuline, you’ll need to have your high school send your official, final transcript to us after graduation. Your offer of admission was contingent on the successful completion of your high school diploma, so we need to verify that you passed all of your classes and graduated as planned.  You’ll receive reminders from us around the time of graduation so you don’t forget amidst all the fun and excitement that comes with finishing high school!

If you took CCP or dual credit classes at a college/university during high school, this is also the time to submit official college transcripts so you can get credit for that work at Ursuline. Your transfer credit will not be posted to your Ursuline student record until all final and official transcripts are received. Just go to or call the Registrar at the college that issued your dual credit to request a transcript be sent to Ursuline.

Please note that if you were admitted provisionally with unofficial test scores, you are able to register for your first semester only until official ACT or SAT reports are received and processed. A provisional hold will be placed on your account at the time of admission and removed once your official scores are processed. Once the provisional hold is removed your admission to Ursuline will be considered clear or conditional and you will be able to register for subsequent semesters. Please see your offer of admission for additional details.
