Cost & Aid

Cost & Aid

The Ursuline College Accelerated Program (UCAP) understands that higher education is a major investment for adults returning to college. That’s why we are dedicated to providing each student with the individual attention they deserve.

Every student receives personalized attention from our dedicated UCAP staff throughout every stage of their educational journey. In addition to our “hands-on” approach to helping our students, we are dedicated to ensuring our students are taught by academically qualified faculty and practicing professionals. In the classroom you will receive the benefits of our small class sizes by actively collaborating with faculty in a discussion-driven environment. A UCAP education won’t just train you for one job; you’ll be educated for a lifetime.

Books & Supplies (Estimated)

Even if all of your college costs are covered, it is still a goof idea to arrive on campus with money for immediate purchase of books and incidentals. Delivery of aid is not always immediate, and a student can be expected to pay approximately:

Students registered for 12 or more credits: $1,200
Students registered for 9-11 credits: $900
Students registered for 6-8 credits: $600
Students registered for fewer than 6 credits: $300

Additional Estimated Budget Expenses for All Students

The following expenses are not billed by Ursuline College, unless otherwise indicated.

On Campus

Room & Board $10,362
Transportation $800
Personal Expenses $1,000

With Parents

Room & Board $2,500
Transportation $2,550
Personal Expenses $2,000

Off Campus

Room & Board $6,450
Transportation $2,550
Personal Expenses $2,000

Note: The cost of attendance for the nine-month academic year includes both direct expenses (tuition, fees, room & board for students living on campus) and indirect expenses (books, supplies, transportation, personal expenses, and room & board for students living off campus). The figure is subject to change and is not meant to represent your Ursuline accounts bill for the academic year, but it is the cost against which we measure your resources to determine your eligibility for aid.

If you have any questions about tuition, billing and fees, please call the Student Service Center at 440-646-8309.

2017-2018 UCAP Financial Aid

The first step to receiving financial aid (grants and loans) is to complete the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA can be completed online at www.fafsa.gov beginning October 1st. Ursuline College’s school code is 003134.

Once your FAFSA application is processed, a Student Aid Report (SAR) will be generated by the Department of Education. When Ursuline receives your SAR and your admissions file is complete, a Financial Aid Award Notification will be generated and mailed to your address listed on the FAFSA. The Financial Aid Award Notification will contain information regarding all of the financial aid you are eligible to receive for the current academic year at Ursuline College.

Outside Scholarships

Outside scholarships are opportunities in which students can seek support to help fund their schooling.  These scholarships are often non-need based and are funded through various government, private sector companies, philanthropists or foundations. In an effort to assist students in searching for outside scholarships, we have identified a number of scholarships focused on adults seeking to return to college. The College is not affiliated with any of the scholarships; this should only be used as a resource.

Tuition Reimbursement

Ursuline College understands that most employers do not reimburse until after the course ends and the grade has been received. To support this, Ursuline College will allow you to participate in the tuition deferment program that will allow you to postpone payment until 30 days after the course ends to pay your tuition in full.

To be eligible, you must do the following:

  • Complete the Tuition Deferment form
  • Provide a copy of your company’s tuition reimbursement plan
  • Submit a $25 deferment fee by check, cash, or credit card
