Since 1871, Ursuline College has been widely recognized for its quality education. Ursuline’s graduate programs are rigorous and challenging. At Ursuline, students benefit from small, interactive classes with faculty who are experts in their fields. These teacher-mentors bring vast knowledge and experience to the classroom, as well as a genuine commitment to each and every student’s success. All graduate programs at Ursuline include hands-on experiences, where students apply classroom learning to the field. Most programs require a culminating or capstone project that integrates and applies all that the students have learned. A graduate education at Ursuline College is an opportunity for transformation. It equips students with the knowledge and skills they need for a new career or a new direction in life.
At Ursuline, graduates leave with more than a diploma; they’ve been prepared to change the world. Through one-on-one attention, access to world-class internship and clinical sites, and an intentional focus on women’s education, Ursuline is helping develop tomorrow’s leaders.
At Catholic college like Ursuline, students participate in more community service than those at other types of institutions making graduates more likely to report developing skills for ethical decision-making. Ursuline’s commitment to helping students define their values is paramount; Arrows earn free credit for community service, participate in annual volunteer day, and give back through campus organizations like Up ‘Til Dawn and the Sister Dorothy Kazel Club for Systematic Change. While less than 50% of Ursuline students identify as Catholic, all students are encouraged to contemplate their own spirituality, promote social justice, and speak up for others who are not empowered to speak for themselves. Employers increasingly define “integrity” as one of the top qualities sought in new hires. An Ursuline education develops it.
The master’s level classes I took at Ursuline College gave me a greater understanding of entrepreneurship and how to be successful in the business world. More importantly, being at Ursuline intensified my desire to help people. It is a place that challenged me in the classroom and made me think about life on a deeper level.LaShawn Reed, '17
