Favorite place on campus: The Fashion hallway in Dauby. I love seeing the seasonal mannequin outfit changes and the new projects students are working on.

One piece of advice for prospective students: Be sure to visit campus! It helps you to visualize whether you can see yourself living, studying, and being apart of the Ursuline College Community.

Best gift I’ve ever received: A cruise vacation. I LOVE traveling.

How can students make the most of their campus visits?: There is no dumb question, ask them all!

Favorite thing to do in Cleveland: I have many favorite things, it’s hard to choose just one! However, the Metro Parks and Lake Erie beaches are a great place to explore!

Favorite place on campus: The top of the stairs in Pilla. The up close view of the stained class window in absolutely breathtaking.

What do you think really makes an application stand out?: Nothing impresses me more than a well-composed essay. I definitely recommend putting in the extra effort and having someone else proofread!

Favorite thing to do in Cleveland: I love heading downtown and cheering on the Tribe at a Cleveland Indians game!

Favorite place on campus: Oddly specific…the top of the stairs as you are leaving the quad. At dusk, the view of Lake Elissa and the setting sun is just stunning!

What would you say to a student that isn’t sure if Ursuline is the right place for them?: Talk to your counselor! We are here to help. We want to answer all your questions so that you can make an informed decision.

Favorite thing to do in Cleveland: Eat! Especially at all the festivals and events around town.

Favorite thing to do in Cleveland: Visit Edgewater Park in the summer to enjoy the sun and sand Cleveland style!

Best part of your job: Getting to help students—with whatever it is they need help with. I know all of the staff and faculty and offices on campus and I enjoy being able to make connections for students.

Favorite place on campus: I have many! I love the quad—especially when the weather is beautiful and students are walking back and forth to classes and students are gathering at the picnic tables, benches and grass.

One piece of advice for prospective students: College is a time of exploration. And one of the best parts of attending a liberal arts college is that you take a little bit of everything. For some it solidifies the fact that they have chosen the best major for themselves. For others, it opens their eyes to an exciting new world!

Favorite thing to do in Cleveland: Go to watch my Tribe! I am a huge baseball fan and I have 3 sons who all played baseball.

What is one piece of advice you have for students as they start their college search?: Keep an open mind and don’t eliminate a school from your search solely based on the cost of tuition.

Favorite ice cream: There are too many flavors to just pick one!

Best part of your job: Meeting new graduate students and helping them navigate into a program at Ursuline and graduate with a degree they are passionate about!

Favorite place on campus: I have 2: Sitting on the patio outside Besse Library for lunch or watching wildlife on Lake Elissa.

One piece of advice for prospective students: Enjoy the time you are working on your Master’s degree at Ursuline College. It will go fast! Also, balance school with work and family. It’s important to give yourself a life outside of your coursework to be well-rounded.

Favorite thing to do in Cleveland: Check out new experiences, such as parks, community concerts, restaurants, and cheer on the Cleveland sports teams with friends and family!

What is one piece of advice you have for students as they start their college search?: Ask questions and don’t be afraid to let us know if you don’t understand something we have explained. Choosing a school that is the best fit for you is an important decision and no question is a stupid question!

One fun fact about me: I enjoy traveling and have visited Jamaica and Scotland. Next year I will be adding South Korea to my travel bucket list!

What do you want students to know about your program?: UCAP is the perfect program for adults students who have been away from college for a while.  The 5-week sessions, one night a week (or online classes) make it possible for students to be successful at work, at home and in school.

Best gift you’ve ever received: A plane ticket from my children to Hawaii to visit my younger daughter when she lived there (total surprise!).

What advice would you give to a student new to the financial aid process?: Complete the financial aid process early, including looking for outside scholarships. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. We are here to help you through the process.

Best gift you ever received: My son recently purchased a beautiful Michael Kors purse for me, for no reason!

What’s one piece of advice you have for students as they start their college search?: Begin the process of preparing for college early within your junior year of high school. Then, enjoy the journey as you seek your final destination in the outstanding world of higher education.

Best gift I’ve ever received: My four amazing daughters whose birth years span four decades; 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, and 2000.
