Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management

Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management

We’re going to help you to use your passion for sports to create a career in a field that has amazing potential.

When you major in Sport Management at Ursuline, you’re going to have one big bonus – a dual major in Business Management built right into your Sport Management curriculum. This is essential for understanding the business of the sports industry and best practices from the broader business world that you can apply to your sports niche. Ursuline Sport Management majors have held internships with the New York City Jazz, the Akron Rubberducks, and have gone on to work in professional sports, recreation roles, and other fields like law and business.

You’ll also have the unique opportunity to accelerate the completion of your Socially Conscious MBA at Ursuline in as little as one year through our bridge program. Ursuline is a Principles for Responsible Management Education school as a member of the UN Global Impact and has also achieved specialized accreditation through IACBE, which means Ursuline’s program exceeds all 18 industry standards of excellence in business education. Taken together, what these two standards mean for you is that you’ll learn how to lead both responsibly and successfully.

Outcomes of the program

  • You’ll understand the dynamics of entire business organization.
  • You’ll improve the practice of sport management and leadership through the development of critical thinking, clear and graceful expression, and free and mature judgment.
  • You’ll learn to think systematically, to lead with moral conviction, to be a steward of your organization, and to serve the people you lead and others in society.
  • You’ll develop a strong sense of ethical responsibility for business decisions and their impact.
