The Ursuline College Hedy Mulhausen Chemistry Endowed Scholarship

A $5,000 renewable scholarship for students majoring or minoring in chemistry or studying pre-pharmacy.

Considering a major or minor in chemistry or studying pre-pharmacy at Ursuline College? You may qualify for a $5,000 renewable Hedy Mulhausen Chemistry Endowed Scholarship.

Hedy Ann Mulhausen earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Ursuline College in 1962 and continued her studies, earning a Master’s Degree and a PhD in Biochemistry. She pursued a successful career in the chemical industry that enabled her to travel the world for work and adventure. Despite her tremendous career success and world travels, she never forgot her years at Ursuline College and before her death in 2013, she made provisions to create this scholarship for current and future students.

Mulhausen Scholarship Requirements:

  • ACT score > 21 or SAT equivalent
  • high school GPA of 3.0 or higher

All chemistry, biochemistry and pharmacy students will automatically be considered for the Mulhausen Scholarship based on their admission application. If you have any additional questions about the award, please contact Chemistry Chair and Assistant Professor Mary Kay Deley.

Are you a future pharmacist? Through Ursuline’s partnership with Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, you can earn both bachelor’s in Chemistry and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees in seven years, instead of the traditional eight. Your first year of pharmacy school fulfills your undergraduate degree, earning your bachelor’s in Chemistry from Ursuline College.
